Christmas has come early for the family of our good friend and favorite hockey goalie, Charlie Capalbo. We are beyond excited to share the GOOD NEWS that Charlie is now in remission after battling cancer for the third time.
His community recently welcomed him home with a surprise homecoming parade. Hundreds of people showed up to show their support and excitement that he is now home from the hospital in Boston after being away for 322 days. This is his third time battling and winning the fight against cancer—the ultimate hockey hat trick. Charlie still has a long road ahead, but we are all so thrilled he is back home in Fairfield, CT. Special thank you to my friend Susie Richards who organized the epic parade, as well as the Fairfield Fire Department, the Fairfield Police Department, the Pyramid Shriners of Fairfield County, and to all the awesome hockey teams who came out with their jerseys and hockey sticks.
You all might remember hearing about Charlie’s incredible story of strength and resilience and positivity on both the blog and the Podcast during the 2020 Quarantine life. Charlie is truly an inspiration to everyone.
If we can all be more like the amazing Charlie Capalbo and his entire family, the world would certainly be a much better place.
To Charlie, his brother Will, his parents Anthony and Jenny, and to Charlie’s girlfriend, Peyton: we believe in miracles and we all love you so much.
Please continue to keep the Capalbos in your good thoughts this holiday season. We are forever Capalbo strong!
