I Am Loving My New Invisalign Smile

Are you considering Invisalign in 2023? Do you know someone who is considering it? Or, maybe you just started your Invisalign journey. I am sharing all my tips and tricks here.

I had my Invisalign trays for six months in total. As I shared with you all when I started my Invisalign journey, I have never had braces before, so I was not really sure what I was getting myself into.

I will admit my first week was a little rough as I got used to Invisalign, but you just need to stay strong! It gets so much easier once you get used to it. You don’t even think about it after the first couple of weeks! Now, I only have to wear my retainers at night, which is super easy.

I asked on my Instagram if anyone had any questions about my journey.

One follower asked how I found my dentist. I actually love my dentist at Imperial Dental Associates! Dr. Maddie Geni helps me enjoy going to the dentist now. I used to dread going to the dentist! I asked around a few friends in my area who they use for a dentist, and Dr. Geni was highly recommended.  Dr. Geni’s practice is also in the top 1% of all Invisalign providers in the world, so I figured I would be in great hands. The practice is also conveniently located near my house, which was perfect since I knew I’d be going into the dental office more frequently during my Invisalign journey.

Here are my top tips and tricks for Invisalign.

  • Use the Munchie/Chewie things—they work! The “Chewies” and “Munchies” help seat your teeth. Bite down on these a few times each day to help get better results.
  • When you have your Invisalign trays in, it is best to wear CLEAR lip gloss. Anything with color in it will come off on your trays and look very obvious.
  • Straws are your best friend, embrace using straws all the time!
  • If you want to drink alcohol, clear drinks are best. I did the research—Truly, White Claw, and Topo Chico are all hard seltzers that are clear. High Noons are actually pink in color. (Who knew?)

Thank you for following along with my journey to better teeth. I am so happy to have a bigger and brighter smile at age 50!

Here’s to more smiles and good health this year,
